Hail and well met

Hi there–looks like you’ve found your way into my little corner of the internet.

I’m a college student studying English at UConn. In my free time, I enjoy picking apart video games through a variety of academic lenses, staring wistfully at pictures of Borzoi dogs, and jamming to top hits of the early 2000s. Sometimes I do these things at a beach.

For examples of my work, check out my portfolio. To find out a little bit more about me, check out my bio.

Where I’ve Been:

As a tutor, I work one-on-one with students of all ages and disciplines to help revise all kinds of writing, including essays, lab reports, personal statements, cover letters, editorials, articles, creative writing–anything with words. One time, someone came in to talk to me about worldbuilding in their urban fantasy novel, and I got paid to do it. (I love my job.)

I also lead undergraduate classrooms, as a guest instructor, through the writing and revising process.

At Warscapes, I edited and proofread articles, blogs, reviews, and other site pieces. I even wrote a couple. I frequently found myself tasked with creating Instagram images that make people and their words pop and resonate. Lastly, I reviewed every literary submission we received, evaluating both its quality and its alignment with Warscapes’ missions and goals.

Editorial Intern
May 2016 – August 2016

The majority of my work at GPP was dedicated to editing and proofreading a wide variety of trade books. I also dedicated a significant amount of time to performing research and assessing the viability of proposals based on existing markets and new trends in the publishing industry. As engaging as all of this was, I probably had the most fun letting out my inner designer by styling and formatting manuscripts in preparation for publication.
